How Long Does it Take to Load a Removal Van?
Load times can vary, and depend on a number of factors such as distance to the property from the van, how well packed the belongings are when loading. How many men are loading the van.
On average a two man team can load a luton boxed van in around 3 hours. Please note that its a lot quicker to unload items from the van as opposed to loading.
How Does a House Clearance Work?
House Clearances are conducted by experts who specialise in determining what will be donated or sold. They also make sure that everything is disposed of responsibly, without harming the environment.
Our work includes clearing out all unwanted furniture, clutter, unused household goods and unwanted clothes from homes which are being vacated for any reason – usually moving into a new property or retirement home. It may also include things that have been left behind after someone has passed away, died or left to live overseas.
How Much Can a 3.5 Ton Van Carry?
The vans we use are 3.5 ton vans which include a luton boxed van with tail lift and a high top extra long wheelbased van.
The maximum payload for our vans is just over a ton and we have to be extra careful that we do not over load our vans.
Road safety is of great importance when we transport our customers belongings. Fines can be incurred if our vans are over our weight limits.
What Will Movers Not Pack?
Green4Logistics does not move livestock, hazardous goods, paint or illegal goods.
Other than that, most goods can be moved. Anything too large needs special arrangements before hand; for special items like pianos or vintage furniture etc please make us aware prior to your move.
Do Movers Disassemble Beds?
Green4Logistics can dismantle beds and other types of furniture including wardrobes, cots and dining tables.
Please make us aware of what you require dismantling and assembling prior to your removal. Our dismantling service is included in our hourly rate local removals service.
What is The Cheapest Way to Move?
The best way to keep your removal costs to a minimum would be to pack all your items yourself, disassemble furniture that needs dismantling prior to your move date and disconnect electrical goods such as white goods and TV’s etc

What Size Van do I Need For a 3 Bedroom House?
It all depends on how much furniture and belongings you require moving.
On average our luton boxed van and high top extra long wheel-based van can accommodate a 3 bedroomed house move.
If you are moving locally we can also do a return trip if this is required.
What do Movers Load First?
Every home removal project that we undertake is different. However, if you are wanting to plan ahead before our removals team arrives its probably best to make sure that we have a walkway for the bedroom furniture first.
We usually look at getting the flat disassembled items on first i.e. bed bits and wardrobe bits etc. After that we would look at loading the larger items such as divan beds, mattresses, wardrobes, bookcases and sofas etc. Usually we would look at loading on the white goods last.
Do I Need to Empty Drawers For Movers?
If your chest of drawers allow you to pull the drawers out of the unit completely then it is ok to leave items in the drawers.
When we load your chest of drawers onto the vans we take the drawers out of the unit and load the unit onto the van and then put the drawers back into the unit for transportation.
If your chest of drawers are completely full it might be a good idea to pack some of the items into boxes so that we can remove the drawers easier.
What do Packing Services Include?
If you are requiring a packing service the first thing we need to do is to organise a video survey.
From the video survey we can estimate how many boxes will be required and also advise the necessary packing materials that you will need
We can provide boxes, packing paper, tape, tape gun, pens, bubble wrap etc.
